FORT WORTH, TEXAS (06/16/16) – XS® Sight Systems has announced a new effort to encourage range owners to order its products for use on their rental inventories. The new range rental gun program includes one set of XS® Big Dot® sights for ranges interested in giving their customers the opportunity to try them out.

The move is meant to encourage those self-defense carry gun-owners to try out something new in their shooting experience, according to XS® Sights Commercial Sales Manager Tanya Gorin.

“The range rental gun program gives customers who are serious about self-defense the opportunity to get their hands on the Big Dot® night sights before they buy,” she said.

According to Gorin, what makes these particular sights ideal for self-defense is their simplicity, as a large front sight is paired with a n express rear sight to speed up sight acquisition and follow-up up shots.

The XS® Big Dot® is compatible with the following firearms:
GLOCK 17, 19, 22, 23, 24, 26 and 27
Smith & Wesson® M&P® 9, 40 and 45
Springfield Armory® XD®, XD(M)® and XD-S®

More information for range owners interested in participating can be retrieved by contacting XS® Sights on its Contact Us page or by downloading and returning a completed order form to Dealers@XSSights.com.

Springfield Armory® Dominates Bianchi Cup Production Division XD(M)® 5.25” Competition Series 9mm Pistol Takes Top Three Places

GENESEO, IL, June 9, 2016 – The Bianchi Cup has earned a reputation as the ultimate test of accuracy, consistency, and performance. This year, each position on the Bianchi Cup Production Division podium was occupied by a competitor using the Springfield Armory® XD(M)® 5.25” Competition Series Pistol.

When the dust settled, Adam Sokolowski of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit took home the gold shooting his XD(M)® 5.25” Competition Series 9mm. Michael Gasser, also representing the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, and Springfield Armory®’s own Rob Leatham claimed silver and bronze, respectively. Both shooters also relied on the Springfield Armory® XD(M)® 5.25” Competition Series 9mm pistol to win their titles.

For 2016, Bianchi announced a new format. Shooters completed the full 1920-point course of fire over four stages. Then, only the top finishers advanced to the championship round, only to repeat the entire process. Scores from both 1920-point events were combined to determine the overall winners.

Throughout the week, the Production Division was a battle of the XD(M)®’s with Sokolowski, Gasser, and Leatham trading the lead throughout the tournament.

After the last plate fell, and Sokolowski officially took home the top prize, Leatham commented, “Losing is never fun, but I honestly couldn’t think of two people I would rather have beat me – I’m proud to call Adam and Michael friends. Congrats guys, and thanks for showing the world how awesome and accurate our XD(M)® 5.25 shoots!”

The reason the XD(M)® swept the podium is clear: The Springfield Armory® XD(M)® 5.25” Competition Series Pistol was designed to win. With the longest slide and barrel of any XD(M)® model, the 5.25” Competition Series offers shooters a long sight radius, capped with a high visibility, rapid acquisition, fiber-optic front sight. The rear sight is fully adjustable for windage and elevation, allowing the serious competitor to precisely calibrate point of aim and point of impact to their favorite load. Lightening cuts in the slide reduce mass and increase cycle time allowing for faster shot recovery.

For competitions like Bianchi Cup, accuracy means everything, so the XD(M)® 5.25” Competition Series models include match grade barrels, a short trigger reset, and a sure grip Mega-lock texture for positive traction in all shooting conditions. The XD(M)® 5.25” Competition Series is available in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP.

Many consider The Bianchi Cup the ultimate test for both the shooter’s skills and their equipment. Each competitor must complete four events, running strings of fire at varying distances for each of those scenarios. The Practical Event emphasizes accurate shooting, including weak-hand only, from distances ranging from 10 to 50 yards. The Barricade Event has shooters placing shots on target at distances ranging from 10 to 35 yards. The Moving Target stage requires competitors to hit targets sliding across a 60-foot track, again at varying distances. The final stage is the Falling Plate scenario. Shooters must engage still plate racks, in order, from 10, 15, 20, and 25 yards.

Springfield Armory® is proud to produce pistols that help shooters perform to the best of their ability. As evidenced by the one, two, three finish at the 2016 Bianchi Cup, the Springfield Armory® XD(M)® 5.25” Competition Series is up to the task.

XS® Sight Systems, Inc. Pulls Trigger on Expansion Plans

Team XS_37A2245 Final_Web

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (05/24/16) – Due to an increase in customer demand for its products and the need for additional operating space, XS® Sight Systems has expanded into a new location. The company previously called its building co-owned with Horizon Tech home, but XS Sights® will move its operations further down the road to 2401 Ludelle St., Fort Worth, Texas.

Both companies will continue to work closely together, but the new building allows R&D head Bo Wallace the opportunity to try out new product ideas in a larger, more expansive space. XS® Sights also hopes that the use of the building’s warehouse will improve efficiency and organization for its shipping department.

The move presents opportunities to improve the organization’s operations and communication amongst departments, according to XS® Sights co-owner Kellie Brunn. “It’s been a busy last few months,” she said. “In this strong year for the company, we’re well-positioned to grow and expand even more in the near future.”

Both the XS® Sights and Horizon Tech buildings are located between the machine shop at 2403 Ludelle St. in Fort Worth.

The Legend Series pistols will come packaged in a custom and also serialized mahogany presentation case. Additionally, a memorial copy of the best-selling book, American Sniper, signed by Taya Kyle will accompany the package. The attractive presentation case also includes a .999 pure silver Chris Kyle limited edition challenge coin and a Springfield Armory® certificate of authenticity. The MSRP of the Legend TRP™ commemorative edition pistol is $2,499, with a portion of the proceeds from each pistol sold benefitting the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.

About Chris Kyle’s Connection With the 1911 TRPTM
While in combat, Chris chose the Springfield Armory TRP™ for its reliable performance and toughness. In his words in best-selling book, American Sniper, he tells how that TRP™ may have saved his life.

“In 2004, I brought over a Springfield [Armory] TRP Operator, which used a .45 caliber round. It had a 1911 body style, with custom grips and a rail system that let me add a light and laser combo. Black, it had a bull barrel and was an excellent gun — until it took a frag for me in Fallujah. I was actually able to get it repaired — those Springfields are tough.”
— Chris Kyle, American Sniper

The first pistol in the Legend Series was presented to Chris Kyle’s wife, Taya Kyle, by Springfield Armory® CEO Dennis Reese at a ceremony during the 2016 SHOT Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. She immediately announced her intention to auction this one-of-a-kind pistol, with all proceeds to benefit the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.

Team Springfield™ will also be on-hand at the booth to present the newest members of the Team as well as hold live demonstrations of the latest Springfield Armory® products to meeting attendees. Presentations will be held Friday, May 20, at 3:30pm and Saturday, May 21, at 1:00pm.
