I am really thankful for the opportunity to show you all this product. This grip (at the time of filming) has not yet hit the shelves of your local gun shop. The 15 degree vertical AR-15 pistol grip from Hogue Grips, may help with the ergonomics while using a sig brace or similar with an AR15 pistol. Watch for this grip to hit your local store soon…

Cobalt Kinetics – B.A.M.F.
So this is not the official UTAH rifle of The 50 States of AR-15, but it’s such an awesome rifle we had to share the B.A.M.F. from Cobalt Kinetics. BTW These rifles are available from BATArms.com
Elftmann Tactical 3 gun Trigger 1st Shots
Here’s a really quick/short video testing out the Elftmann Tactical 3 Gun Trigger for the first time. This thing is truely bad ass. It has a 2-4lb trigger pull that is adjustable, it’s light weight / skeletonized, and comes with a lifetime warranty (and yes each trigger has it’s own serial number).
The Illinois Rifle of The 50 States of AR-15 is Here!
Yes we are back with another rifle the #Illinois rifle! I’m excited about this one as Illinois is my home state as many of you know & this build features SN# 81 of the BAT Arms (our sponsoring FFL) AR-15 lower receivers. It also features some interesting products, such at the Manticore Arms Transformer hand guard. All in all this rifle was built with the idea of using the idea of creating a modern civilian M4 carbine. Keep it simple yet adaptable, while including some updated features. The R-Guns stock for example includes the addition of QD attachments on both sides to allow for the use of modern sling mounts as does the hand guard. All mounted on a DR Guns billet upper & BAT Arms Billet lower. The lower has some nice features as well, such a threaded bolt release pin, rear threaded take down pin detent hole with set screw to retain the rear detent spring, & a tensioning screw to remove any play between the upper and lower.
I hope you all enjoy the Illinois rifle and the rest of The 50 States of AR-15 project. Thank you for watching, and till next time have fun shooting!
DR Guns, llc – AR-15 Hand Guard
Here is a video I made to show how easy it is to upgrade your AR15 from a 2 piece hand guard to a free floating hand guard. I also wanted to note how easy the new DR Guns llc hand guard is to install with no need to index the barrel nut for the gas tube or add shims to align the hand guard to the barrel nut. As I mentioned this is a new product, that will be launching very soon. Their new hand guards will also come in several lengths, and configurations including key mod, m-lok, and for both AR10 & AR15 platforms.
We recently had the opportunity to tour the new DR Guns llc facility in Lake Zurich, IL. I have to say it is quite an impressive operation, with the majority of their firearm components being made in house. The cleanliness of their facility, and focus on manufacturing precision products is outstanding. I would definitely keep an on eye this company to see what they have coming out down the line.
The 50 States of AR-15 Update – W/ Maps
So Laura found this cool website, that allows you to click on states to show which ones you may have visited. Well she suggested this could be a cool way to make a map of the states that have we have completed rifles for. I took it one step further and made to 2 maps the first with the red states showing completed rifles (yes 4 are currently completed with several more nearing), and then one in green showing the states we have receivers for or currently in transit to us.
More videos will be coming soon, we are hoping to secure a barrel for the Arizona rifle which is the last component needed to complete the rifle. And for those who have been following on Instagram & Facebook you may have seen some of the photos of the progress. It’s a pretty slick rifle, with components from KE Arms, Elftmann Tactical, GuntecUSA, Young Manufacturing, & our friends from BeatenZone Manufacturing. Stay Tuned…. & Till next time… “Have Fun Shooting…”
Laura’s 1st “How To” video – Elftmann Tactical AR15 Ambi Speed Safety
Here’s a quick little video Laura made showing how to install an Elftmann Tactical Ambi Speed Safety (Push Button Safety) for your AR-15. This safety is pretty slick, and super quick (hence the name). Check them out at www.elftactical.com and see their line up of AR15 triggers and other components. Elftmann Tactical is an Arizona based company and you will see their products in the upcoming Arizona rifle build of The 50 States of AR-15 project.

Industry Day at The Range = Shot Show 2017
Here is a little montage I put together with the footage from Shot Show – Industry Day at the Range. What a blast pun intended… Laura and I, shot a ton of cool firearms, however I would say my favorite one I shot would have to be the Full Auto 300blackout suppressed sbr from Aero Precision. We also tested out HIPERFIRE’s Triggers, some of Rock Island Armory’s pistols, along with some of the offerings from Springfield Armory, and more.. Stay Tuned for more footage from #ShotShow and be sure to subscribe to The BigGunner81 Channel!
The 50 States of AR-15 in NRA’s Shooting Illustrated…
This is something I am super excited about, NRA’s Shooting Illustrated wrote an article about The 50 States of AR-15 project. Of course there are many people behind the scenes that made this possible and I thank all of them for this opportunity. I can’t thank you all enough for the the support this project has received, I absolutely could not do this without it. From the viewers watching, to the companies that have contributed, to those helping to share the projects existence If you can check out the article in the January 2017 edition of Shooting Illustrated and thank them for covering the project.
